While black median household income remains significantly than the overall median, it is growing faster than the overall trend, since 2011.
There is large variation in poverty at the county level, but generally positive trends (that is, declining rates)
Poverty: some pretty authoritative sources (as well as the data) seem to suggest that it will always "be with us". Some of the recent trends, thought hardly all of them, are encouraging.
