Friday Factday: Labor Day 2017

Each year, on the first Monday in September, Atlanta joins the nation in celebrating Labor Day, honoring the American labor movement of the 19th century. The first Labor Day was celebrated September 5, 1882 and featured a street parade “to exhibit to the public ‘the strength and esprit de corps of the trade and labor organizations’ of the community.” Join us in celebrating Atlanta’s labor force with in this week’s Friday Factday.
