The Atlanta Region Eviction Tracker has recently been updated to include building-level data*, which may help target rental assistance and legal support to residents we know are immediately at risk of being evicted when the CDC moratorium expires on July 31st.  While the rate of assistance disbursement has varied across the state of Georgia with multiple agencies like county governments (in more populous areas), city government (for Atlanta residents), and the DCA (for tenants not covered at either the county or city levels), handling the application process and writing of checks, overall it has been proceeding at little more than a trickle.

*Only buildings with 10 or more eviction filings since the pandemic began (4/1/2020) are included on the tracker. The data is filtered in this way to protect the identity of individual residents.  More comprehensive address and case lists are available to public agencies and non-profits working directly in fund disbursement.

By releasing the building-level data, we hope to aid in the identification of eviction filing hotspots where officials and those supporting them might focus their attention on getting people signed up to receive funds.
