The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) has a podcast. The podcast is called What’s Next ATL, like the recently launched website of the same name.

What’s Next ATL is hosted and produced by Kate Sweeney, formerly an NPR reporter for 90.1 WABE. Each episode focuses on one crucial issue facing our region, and a person, local government, or organization tackling it in a creative way.

The most recent episode, “The Cost of Living,” features conversations with two metro Atlanta elected officials in very different parts of town who have both taken on housing affordability as their key issue.  In tandem with the podcast’s great on-the-ground storytelling and data-driven discussion, you can also always look to the 33N for related data and analyses, like for example the recently posted “Housing Affordability Special Feature: High-Income Renter Households Up 163% from 2007” and “Regional Snapshot: Metro Atlanta Rental Housing Affordability“.

We, at 33N, hope you’ll take the time to give What’s Next ATL a listen and share it with friends and colleagues. Each and every share helps to include more people in the important conversations about where our region is headed, and the hope is that these conversations will help spark interest in regional issues among a broader audience and offer new opportunities for community engagement.
