Transportation Tuesday: Commuting to Midtown

Midtown Transportation is a Transportation Management Association (TMA) that works with employers in midtown Atlanta to address local transportation issues and provide incentives to encourage the use of alternative commute methods like carpooling and public transit.

Using the U.S. Census Bureau’s OnTheMap tool, TMAs like Midtown Transportation can better understand commute patterns. The data below uses the Midtown Transportation “boundary” to identify workers in the area, and then maps their approximate home locations to find spatial trends.
