In anticipation of Veterans Day this coming Saturday, November 11th, we provide a map of where veterans live in the Atlanta Metro region. According to estimates from the American Community Survey (2011-15, 5-year average), the largest concentrations of veterans (as shown in dark blue) can be found living outside of urban centers, with the notable exception of pockets in the westside communities of Atlanta. The smallest concentrations of veterans (as shown in red) can be found in the northern and eastern neighborhoods of Atlanta, along I-85 into Gwinnett County, and in a number of the small urban centers located in suburban counties.
