July 26, 2017 celebrates the 27th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), signed into law in 1990 by President George H.W. Bush. The ADA prohibits discrimination, and guarantees that people with disabilities have equal opportunity to employment, transportation, telecommunications, commercial facilities, state and local government services, and public services and accommodations. This week’s Friday Factday provides information on the regional services available to those with a disability.
