Georgia Milestones is an assessment used by the Georgia Department of Education that replaced the CRCT (Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests) in the spring of 2015. The Milestones test includes various subjects- this map looks at 8th grade math, a key middle school benchmark. Milestones has four levels of performance: Beginning Learner (which is considered “failing”), Developing Learner, Proficient Learner and Distinguished Learner.
This map shows middle schools in Georgia, with the colors indicating the percentage of students that were proficient learners or distinguished learners in the spring 2015 assessment. The schools in blue had the highest percentages of proficient/distinguished learners.
